Dairy Crest opens its doors to new Innovation Centre

The new £3m research and development centre for Dairy Crest, situated on Harper Adams’ University campus, has been completed. The centre, designed by MHA Architects, provides state of the art food product R&D kitchens, testing and pilot plant and packaging workshop, all with associated chilled and ambient storage. The scheme also comprises a suite of laboratories, including wet chemistry laboratory, instrumentation analysis laboratory and a Class II micro-biology suite. The centre’s mezzanine floor boasts a first-class meeting suite with presentation kitchen.  From here, visitors can view key areas of the building, without entering production areas.

Mark Youds, Operations Director commented:  ““The level of detail and professionalism we received from the team at MHA was excellent. Without doubt, their insight and willingness to go the extra mile contributed to the overall success of the project.  They were always available to attend meetings, often at short notice”.
