Prince of Wales Road

Working alongside interior designers, the emphasis for this brief was on nature with extensive use of plants and natural materials to reduce stress and improve wellbeing. The informal break out space uses calming soft furnishings for a relaxed environment enhancing creativity. The newly refurbished cafe incorporates large amounts of glazing to improve wellbeing and the configuration of the seating allows for face to face contact and group conversations. The common areas have been upgraded to include fit-out of all WC and shower areas (new cubicles, vanity units, sanitaryware, ceilings, floor finishes); refurbished lift interiors; new finishes to all circulation areas; new door finishes and the use of colours to improve wayfinding. The main ground floor reception has been remodelled to include private meeting facilities and informal break out space. Externally, the building has been simply modernised through the use of overcladding with glazed curtain walling.
