MHA Architects bids farewell to two senior Directors and welcomes new board
Manchester and Sheffield based MHA Architects follows news of four senior promotions with further changes that establish a new Management Board.
After 32 years of dedication to MHA, Harold Morris and Ian Thorp have retired as Directors of the company. As well as embedding the culture and ethos that good design must be underpinned by robust value judgement and technical excellence, Harold and Ian have helped to grow this strong and dynamic practice. Highlights of their work include the Stockport Pyramid, the Express Building in Manchester and more recently the first 200 PureGyms.
Directors, Jimmy Lennon and Paul Chadwick are joined by newly-appointed Directors, Andrew Callicott and Chris Yorke to form the new Board, leading the strategic direction for MHA as a forward-thinking practice.
Lennon said, “Harold and Ian have made a huge contribution to the success of the practice. They have embodied our values and have been key in supporting the growth and development of a new generation of leaders. We wish them well in their retirement. Today’s announcement represents the culmination of a 5 year succession plan and I am delighted to welcome Andrew and Chris as Directors. We look forward to working together to build on our success and deliver our vision of changing the way clients distinguish genuine good design.”
